Senior Solutions is asking for your assistance in the process of looking for nominees for our twenty-fourth Annual Successful Aging Award. As a key leader in your community, we hope that you will either consider nominating someone or pass the nomination form to others in your community for their consideration. The Successful Aging Award recognizes the accomplishments of an older adult who is at least 80 years old and lives in Windham or Windsor County.

Nonprofits Launch Putney100% Campaign

Senior Solutions, the Putney Foodshelf, and Putney Community Cares have come together to launch a campaign to ensure that 100% of the residents of Putney are both food and fuel secure. These three organizations will engage in a month-long, intensive community-based campaign to clarify access to food resources and establish messaging that makes participation in these programs a community-strengthening endeavor.

Fall Prevention Tai Chi Classes Starting September 7th

Senior Solutions is sponsoring two levels of Fall Prevention Tai Chi classes in the Great Hall, 100 River St on Tuesdays starting September 7. The beginner class will meet from 9:30 -10:30. The class for intermediate/advanced practitioners will meet from 10:45 -11:45. When practiced regularly, Tai Chi not only helps to lower the risk of falling but also improves concentration, leg strength, balance and coordination and reduces joint pain and stress.
