A New Area Plan for the Future – Download a copy of the full area plan

Every three years, Senior Solutions develops a new area plan which lays out a framework for how we provide services under the guidelines of the federal Older Americans Act. As the designated Area Agency on Aging for the southeastern Vermont region, Senior Solutions has the responsibility to plan and develop a comprehensive and coordinated system of services and supports for older adults and family caregivers in its designated service area, targeting those in greatest economic and social need. Since the Older Americans Act outlines how we serve the public, we want to hear from you about how well this plan reflects your needs.

The plan is divided into four sections:
▪ Background,
▪ Local focal points
▪ Goals, objectives and strategies
▪ Results Based Accountability statewide program goals

After establishing the background and focal point community partners for our organization, the report outlines goals for the future, including community planning; health promotion and disease prevention; and the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. It also details Results Based Accountability (RBA) program goals that are consistent across all five agencies on aging within Vermont. We want to hear from you about how well our goals, objectives and strategies line up with what you experience within your communities.

Please take some time to review the material and provide your input.
