Assist With Our Programs

Community Meals

Help out at the congregate meal sites that we support in many towns around Windsor and Windham Counties. Set tables, orient new diners, serve food, or cook.

Wellness Programs

Get trained to lead an exercise or wellness program for seniors. We work with programs that meet evidence-based standards as recognized by the federal government.

Medicare Guidance and SHIP

The State Health Insurance Program at Senior Solutions needs volunteers to help meet the ever-growing demand for guidance about Medicare and complementary assistance programs. As part of our SHIP crew serving southeastern Vermont, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of local people. Once you are trained, you will be working with our professional team in Springfield. Various schedule options are available. There are a number of volunteer tasks to choose from, including client contact, clerical, outreach, and special projects. Basic computer skills and good phone communication are a plus. Please note: insurance agents, insurance brokers, and financial planners are not eligible to serve as SHIP volunteers.

Flexible Options

We also have one-time, occasional, or highly flexible opportunities. Volunteers can be placed on a list to be contacted when a need arises. There’s no ongoing commitment or obligation. Activities can include hosting an information table, helping to plan or volunteer at a fundraising event, taking photographs, putting up posters or flyers at libraries and other public bulletin boards, or doing office projects.
