With three new volunteers enrolling in December, our volunteer count has now reached 70 individuals who are reaching out to our most senior population…and they have been busy!

Coloring has the ability to relax the fear center of your brain. It induces the same state as meditating by reducing the thoughts of a restless mind. This generates mindfulness and quietness, which allows your mind to get some rest after a long day at work. It has also been shown to improve motor skills and vision, improve sleep, and help you focus. All the more reason to consider adding some stress-relieving coloring time to your day!
On December 16, 2021, over a dozen people attended a hybrid in-person and video broadcast program hosted at Neighborhood Connections in Londonderry on the topic of recognizing and working with persons experiencing different stages of dementia.
Senior Solutions supports and oversees 13 home-delivered Meals on Wheels Programs and 29 community meals sites provided by local community partners. During this past year, more than 4,700 area seniors relied on these programs – programs which involve a large network of cooks, packagers, delivery drivers, and others.
