Pet Food Deliveries Expand to Bellows Falls Area
Jerry Farnum, owner of State Farm Insurance in Springfield, has announced a “Quotes for Cause” campaign, partnering with Senior Solutions to help increase the funding level in the Foxy Fund.
During the month of June, for every caller or visitor requesting a quote and mentioning the Foxy Fund, State Farm will donate $20 to the Fund. The Foxy Fund was established by Senior Solutions to help seniors care for and keep their furry companions. It provides assistance for emergency veterinary care, and has just begun delivery of pet food to home-bound seniors with pets receiving Meals on Wheels. The May pilot program began in Andover, Chester, Athens, and Springfield, and this month will be expanded to the Bellows Falls area. Senior Solutions’ goal is to expand this service throughout southeastern Vermont, but the program relies 100% on donations.
