Volunteer Program Now 70 Members Strong!

In spite of the recent spike in the pandemic and cautionary restrictions on face-to-face meetings, our volunteer program continues to grow. With three new volunteers enrolling in December, our volunteer count has now reached 70 individuals who are reaching out to our most senior population…and they have been busy!

Our volunteers are ready and willing to help with an assortment of tasks including giving caregivers a break by providing respite care, shopping, errands, escorts to medical appointments, help with paper work and paying bills, and most importantly, becoming friends with those they serve. Four of our volunteers have participated in a public service video campaign to encourage vaccinations throughout our service area. Several volunteers have participated in our recent 8-hour Respite Care Training, and one of our Vet to Vet volunteers was a lead speaker at our Annual Meeting.
All of our volunteers are shining stars, providing hope, friendship, and opportunity to over 150 seniors throughout our service area.
