VIDEO: Senior Center Directors Talk Re-Opening

Introducing three of Windham and Windsor County’s Senior Center Directors to talk about how they weathered the Covid-19 pandemic shut-downs and what plans they have for re-opening and welcoming aging Vermonters back to in-person activities at the centers. They often resorted to creative ways to provide virtual classes and outdoor exercises when we could not gather indoors. Some had more drastic challenges depending on staffing capabilities. Let’s hear their stories and good news!!

Thank You For A Successful Spring Auction

Senior Solutions’ Spring Auction to benefit the agency’s Home Visitor programs raised $1,889. Home visitors are volunteers who support our area’s older citizens by doing everything from picking up groceries and driving them to appointments to providing companionship and making friendly phone calls to reduce their feeling of isolation and loneliness.

COVID Support VT (Grant) has been extended

The COVID Support VT grant-funded program, with the goal of providing mental health and wellness support for all Vermonters in response to the pandemic, has been extended for an additional six months. This means we can continue to offer services free of charge through mid-December.
