Senior Companions

Senior Solutions’ Senior Companion Program reaches out to homebound elderly and helps relieve loneliness through friendly visits and companionship.

“Truly a blessing to be able to help others in the community.”
–Martha, Brattleboro

Senior Companions are volunteers aged 55+ who receive a small stipend for providing much-needed support to frail and homebound elders trying to remain at home safely. Companions can assist with grocery shopping, reminding to take medications, reading to someone, helping prepare letters, etc. This volunteer service can provide respite support for family caregivers. Companions enjoy sharing conversations, playing cards and developing friendships.
