Senior Solutions is launching its largest “100%” campaign ever, reaching seven towns in the Deerfield Valley region, with the goal of ensuring that every household is food and fuel secure. By the first week in October, every household in Dover, Halifax, Marlboro, Readsboro, Searsburg, Wardsboro, Whitingham, and Wilmington will receive a letter briefly describing on-going programs providing help with food and fuel resources available. Included in the letter will be a 4 x 9 card listing the contact information of the organizations and services provided by each. This will also be available at town institutions, churches, stores, and libraries. Local community partners include Deerfield Valley Community Cares, PropaneDover, the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry, the Marlboro Alliance, and three local congregate meal sites.
As part of the campaign, Senior Solutions will hold eight “drop-in” sessions at a variety of locations to provide information and to assist residents complete Seasonal Heating Fuel Assistance and 3SquaresVT food benefit applications.
