Wardsboro Library, Senior Solutions Partner for “Second Tuesdays” starting July 12, 2022

| Senior Solutions News

Most of our area senior centers and institutions are located in the Connecticut River Valley towns, which can present a transportation obstacle to seniors in the Route 100 corridor. Beginning on July 12, Senior Solutions staff will be present at the Wardsboro Public Library every second Tuesday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to assist area residents with benefit applications and information to help seniors age in the place of choice with the support that they need.  Thom Simmons, one of Senior Solutions’ Outreach Specialists, will be available on a drop-in, no appointment needed basis, to help seniors navigate Seasonal Heating Fuel Benefits, 3SquaresVT food benefits, Farm to Family farmer’s markets coupons, Meals on Wheels, Green Mountain Power discounts, and more.

Drop-in days are scheduled for July 12, Aug 9, Sept 13, Oct 11, Nov 8, and Dec 13, 2022. If residents are unable to get to the library due to transportation issues, Thom will make both phone appointments and home visits on those same afternoons.  Requests can be left on his voice mail at 802-797-4532.

This new partnership with the Wardsboro library makes it easier for area residents to stop in for help or ask questions. It is a cheery and convenient location for those in the West River Valley towns, and we look forward to having a long-term presence to help local clients.
