“Black River 100%” Campaign Launches for Cavendish, Ludlow, and Plymouth

| Senior Solutions News

During the month of March, Senior Solutions is partnering with two other organizations – the Black River Good Neighbors Services and the Black River Valley Senior Center – to strengthen each household in these communities during the months ahead.

Senior Solutions will be providing a series of drop-in sessions where community members may stop in for information, applications, or application processing for many assistance programs, such as 3SquaresVT food benefits, Seasonal Fuel Assistance (LIHEAP), Green Mountain Power discounts, Meals on Wheels intakes, and more. Research shows that as many as 60% of program-eligible seniors do not participate in these programs, which can have a major impact on household budgets.  Previous campaigns in Putney and Chester-Andover have proved highly successful, and many new clients saw their applications approved by the state.

Drop-in sessions will be held at the following places and times:

Good Neighbors Food Shelf, 37 Main Street, Ludlow
Wednesday March 16, 10 am to 12 Noon
Wednesday March 30, 10 am to 12 Noon
