Vermont Congregate Meals Sites Start Opening Again!

| News and Information

After a few years of pandemic shut-downs, a number of area congregate meal sites that had closed down are now reopening.  In April, the Black River Valley Senior Center in Ludlow served a delicious beef stew to a packed house, the first such meal there in over a year – and now, with a brand-new stove. They are planning to continue these every second and fourth Thursday, by reservation only. And Ludlow is not alone: Grafton Cares will re-start their meals every Wednesday at The Chapel at 12 noon, and West Halifax has reopened their Third Fridays Meals.  Thetford is now providing a drive-through pickup service on Fourth Thursdays.  Other sites are choosing to wait a bit more before opening.
