Living Better with Long-Term Health Challenges
The Healthier Living Workshop is a free, six-week series to help adults of all ages learn to feel better with long-term health conditions like asthma, heart disease, chronic pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and diabetes. This is not an exercise class. This interactive workshop in a supportive small-group setting will help you practice better management of your condition. Caregivers are also welcome.
- Techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation
- Appropriate use of medications
- How to talk with family, friends and health professionals so they understand your needs
- Setting realistic goals for nutrition and exercise
Previous local participants say:
“It was so great to be with other motivated people.” — Elizabeth A.
“We all had different conditions, but mostly the same challenges and frustrations.” — Janis H.
New workshop dates are being scheduled throughout the year, all over Vermont. Contact the local coordinator closest to you to find out more or sign up.
